November Inspirational Place of the Month – Troy, NY

To coincide with Margaret’s son, Julian Jacob’s performance with the Empire State Youth Orchestra at the Troy Saving Bank Music Hall earlier this month, Troy, New York is the inspirational place of the month of November. Troy, the iconic “Home of Uncle Sam” is a historic city located on the East side of the Hudson River in New York’s capital region. Though a small city in size, Troy boasts two college campuses (Russell Sage College and Rensselaer Polytech Institute), an Arts center, and a first class music hall with some of the best acoustics in the country. Other attractions include the vintage brownstone buildings, a diverse palate of eateries and an eclectic array of shops and galleries. In addition, Troy’s attractions includes its annual events-mainly the Victorian Stroll in December, the famous farmer’s market during the summer month, and Troy’s monthly event, “Troy’s Night Out.” For more information about Troy, please visit
