February 2014 Inspirational Person of the Month

Billy Goodrum

Billy Goodrum, Margaret’s inspirational person for the month of February, is no stranger to the music business. The Berklee College of Music graduate has worked as a composer and Recording Artist with 20th Century Fox, New Line Cinema, Warner Brothers, MGM, Dreamworks, Paramount, A&M Records, Elektra Records, Universal Records, and BBDO New York among other reputable companies. Highlights of his twenty plus year career include credits in the box office hit movies Dumb & Dumber, There’s Something About Mary, The Heartbreak Kid, The Three Stooges, Movie-43, and The Nightshift Belongs to the Stars, which was shortlisted for the 2013 Academy Award.

Margaret first met Billy at a retreat in the San Bernadino Mountains in Southern California in 2006 when she was directing a children’s play that included his children in the cast. Margaret also had the good fortune of performing with Billy during that time. Since then, Margaret continues to be inspired not only by Billy’s professional successes, but also by the person that he is. In addition to his impressive work as a songwriter, composer and performer, Billy is also a dedicated father,  a devoted husband, and a genuine friend to anyone who knows him. Margaret is grateful to be a part of his circle.
